These days, an artist-sneaker collaboration is absolutely nothing new, however, back in 1986, this type of partnership was unheard of, so when Run DMC signed a $1 million endorsement deal with adidas Originals, the whole world was in awe.

Famous for rocking the Superstars without any laces and with the tongue pushed out, the legendary American hip hop group even composed a song about the iconic silhouette called “My Adidas”, and now, over thirty years later, founding member Darryl “DMC”; McDaniels has taken to Instagram to tease another three stripes collab, and we’re beyond hyped.

Building on the adidas Originals NMD TS1, the shoe is made in collaboration with McDaniels’ ‘Darryl Makes Comics’ brand. featuring a G0re-Tex infused Primeknit upper for a versatile fit, this Nomad is painted in a primarily black colourway. Doing away with any conventional lacing system, these sneakers adopt a cord lock approach that you’d normally find on backpacks and coats.

DMC branding adorns the “tongue”; and heel tab, and gold accents give this TS1 a pop of contrast. Down below, a full length boost midsole is present for additional comfort and a smoother stride, and like the ultra exclusive Overkill x adidas Originals NMD R1, a red rubber outsole features for an eye catching aesthetic.

Pretty much nothing else is known about the DMC x adidas Originals NMD TS1, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole supplier for more news as it develops!
